Multi-Swipe is a function available for Events (People, Groups, and System Events) in PDK.io where a physical credential is presented and is not denied multiple times in rapid succession. This involves presenting, or tapping, the credential two, three, or four times at/on the Reader. After an allowed Credential is presented, it will be considered a Multi-Swipe event if the same credential is presented again within three seconds.
As stated previously, a Multi-Swipe event is an 'Allowed' event and will also act as a potential trigger for a People or Group rule. This can trigger any of the available options in an Event Rule, information regarding this can be found in the article 'How to use 'People' and 'Group' Event Rules'.
For example, a Multi-Swipe scan can be used to trigger the following items:
- Activating a Generic IO device to disarm the alarm system for the door.
- Activating a Lockdown event on various Doors on the Account.
