What is Do Not Disturb?
'Do Not Disturb' is one of a number of Device states that a Device (Door or Gate, premium IO, Elevator Reader, or Elevator Relay) can be placed into on a ProdataKey system. This Device State is used to deny access to the Device by deactivating the relay (if currently activated/unlocked) and 'Explicitly Deny' any Credential input on any Reader (if present) for the Device.
How to use Do Not Disturb
The Do Not Disturb state can be triggered through the use of an Event rule (either System, Group, or Person) with a designated Trigger Action or through the States view. The Do Not Disturb Trigger Action can either be a software trigger (such as a Multi-Swipe Allow or When Allowed on a certain Reader) or a hardware trigger (such as a DPS or REX input trigger).
Be aware that when a Device is in the Do Not Disturb state, Credential access along with Access rules and associated Event rules are in an Explicitly Denied state. This means that without a Group or Person Event Rule using the Action Trigger 'When Denied (Explicit)', any Credential (PIN, card, mobile, Bluetooth) that is entered will not allow access. Due to this, it is recommended to use a Group or Person Event Rule with the Action Trigger 'When Denied (Explicit)' to allow access through the Device connected to the Reader or to remove the Do Not Disturb state.
