In some installations, it may be required to restrict access to a door from both sides.
For this configuration, two reader devices must be added to the Customer Account. As Wiegand and OSDP readers and wiring are different, information regarding each is provided:
- Wiegand Readers: Each reader must be configured on a different port on the Controller
- Red/OSDP Readers: Each reader can be wired to a different port or the same port through Multidrop wiring.
Once the readers are connected to the controller, they must be configured as Primary and Additional.
- A Primary Reader is the reader directly connected to the door/device port.
- An Additional Reader is linked to a Primary Reader and follows the same access rules and schedule, serving as an extension of the Primary Reader.

Once the Primary and Additional Readers have been added to the system, you will need to add a Group or Person Access Rule for the Primary door.
