A Mantrap entrance, also known as an airlock-style entrance or security vestibule, is a series of interconnected doors that provide additional security and control over the flow of people. A mantrap is typically in place to ensure that only the person who requested access can enter and exit the secured area.
Before beginning the configuration of a Mantrap at a location, you will need to ensure the following items have been installed or configured:
- A Reader is installed on each side of Door A
- A Reader is installed on each side of Door B
- A Door Position Sensor (DPS) is mounted at each Door
- Each Primary Reader/Door must have the DPS (Input A) enabled in Configuration
