Connecting a 3rd-Party Intercom panel to a PDK system is a straightforward process, similar to connecting a REX or DPS device.
Once the intercom panel is installed, it will need to be connected to an input port on a Controller.
- Connect a wire to the C (Common) terminal output on the intercom panel, labeled as A in the image above.
- Connect the other end of the wire above to the Input terminal (labeled as A or B or I depending on the Controller model) input on the AB- block on the Controller port, labeled as B in the image above.
- Connect a second wire to either the NC (Normally Closed) or NO (Normally Open) terminal on the intercom panel output, depending on the intercom panel.
- Connect the other end of the second wire to the negative (-) terminal, labeled as C in the image above, on the Input block (labeled as 'AB-' or 'I+-' depending on the Controller model) on the Controller
Once the intercom panel is connected to the Controller inputs, the next step is to ensure that the Input is enabled. To confirm this, first tap/click the Configuration Icon, tap/click the Cloud Node the Controller was added to, and then tap/click the Device to which the intercom panel was connected. Inside the Device details, ensure that the Input port that the intercom panel is connected to is enabled in the 'Inputs' section.
Once the connection from the intercom panel is connected to the Controller, a System Event rule to unlock the required Doors/Devices will need to be configured.
