Why do touch io readers need to be paired with the Controller?

Part of the system’s security layer is the pairing of readers to the attached Controller. Every reader paired with a Controller has a unique ID. This ID establishes connection of each reader to a specific Cloud Node. Only credentials associated with that specific Cloud Node’s readers will work, as a single customer may establish multiple Cloud Nodes. This added layer of security, on top of Bluetooth Low Energy security standards, ensures that the credential data is secure.
