Piezo Device Setup Overview

ProdataKey does not require proprietary readers; door controllers accept a Wiegand input, including biometric readers and keypads.

(A) Main Reader - Mounted at the door with a 22/5 or 22/6 wire running to the door controller. Wire the reader to the controller as shown above. Check polarity and voltage carefully prior to powering the controller.

(B) Piezo - An optional piezo trigger for tamper or door prop alarm connected to (-) of AUX relay. The piezo buzzer can be configured with software rules. 

(A) AUX Device / Piezo (buzzer) - An optional piezo AUX device can be connected to the door controller to be triggered based on specific events in the system. The most typical is a door forced or “prop” alarm. An AUX piezo alarm can be connected as shown above. Power is required from the DC connectors of the power supply.

NOTE: For UL certified wire installations, all wire running from an eight io door controller to a lock, strike, or reader device MUST be less than 98.5 feet (30 meters). 

Write a rule to open port 9/10 in System Events, which will turn on the piezo.
