To create an Elevator Rule, tap or click the Add Rules button in the Access Rules section of the sidebar menu.
By default, the Access tab will be selected.
Next, tap or click the Schedule field and choose the appropriate option (Always, Recurring or Single Date). Each Schedule option will be outlined separately below.
Schedule
Below is an explanation for each Schedule type and how to configure each option.
Always - The rule will always be processed.
Recurring - The rule will be processed only during the selected time frame each week.
Days - Select the days of the week on which the rule will be processed. By default, Monday-Friday are selected.
Begin - Tap or click the digits to enter the specified time (in 24-hour format) when the rule will begin.
End - Tap or click the digits to enter the specified time (in 24H format) when the rule will end.
Single Date - The rule will only be processed for the specified timeframe on a single day.
Date - Tap or click the field to enter the day to select the day when the rule will be processed.
Begin - Tap or click the digits to enter the specified time (in 24-hour format) when the rule will begin.
End - Tap or click the digits to enter the specified time (in 24H format) when the rule will end.
Authentication Policy
The Authentication Policy option allows rules that require different credentials or credential combinations to grant access. By default, Card will be selected.
- Card - This option requires the Person to scan a Card credential.
- PIN - This option requires the Person to enter a PIN on the reader's keypad.
- Card or PIN - This option requires the Person to scan a Card credential or enter a PIN on the reader's keypad.
Card then PIN - This option requires the Person to scan a Card credential and enter a PIN on the reader's keypad.
Floor Groups
At least one Floor Group must be selected to save the Rule.
To add Floor Groups to the rule, tap or click Edit Floor Groups to highlight the specified Floor Groups. Tap or click the Save button to save the rule.
After configuring the Elevator rule, tap or click the Submit button to save the rule.
