To create an Access Rule, tap or click the Add Rules button in the Access Rules section of the sidebar menu.
By default, the Access tab will be selected.
Next, tap or click the Schedule field and choose the appropriate option (Always, Recurring, Single Date). Each Schedule option will be outlined separately below.
After configuring the Access Rule as detailed below, tap or click the Submit button in the lower right corner of the sidebar menu to save the new Access Rule.
Creating an Always (24 hour) Access Rule
Schedule - After tapping or clicking the Add Rules button, by default, the Schedule field will be set to Always.
Authentication Policy - The Authentication Policy option allows Access Rules to specify different credentials or credential combinations for the Access Rule.
Card - This option requires the Person to scan a Card Credential.
PIN - This option requires the Person to enter a PIN on the reader keypad.
Card or PIN - This option requires the Person to scan a Card Credential or enter a PIN on the reader keypad.
Card then PIN - This option requires the Person to scan a Card Credential and then enter a PIN on the reader keypad.
Important Notes:
- PDK Access app credentials (Bluetooth and Mobile) are treated as Card Credentials.
- If an Authentication Policy is set for the Device in Configuration, this may conflict with the selected Authentication Policy and cause Credentials to not function properly.
Devices - Select the Devices for inclusion in the Access Rule. Tap or click the Edit Devices button on the right edge of the pop-out sidebar next to Devices.
Action - The Action option specifies whether the Access Rule will allow or deny access to the Doors/Devices present in the Access Rule.
Allow - Will Allow access to the specified Door/Devices for the Person or members of the Group that the rule is present in. This is the default state for this option.
Deny - Will Deny access to the specified Door/Devices for the Person or members of the Group that the rule is present in.
Adding a Recurring Access Rule
Schedule - After tapping or clicking the Add Rules button, select Recurring. The rule will be processed only during the selected time frame each week.
Days - Select the days of the week the rule will be processed. By default, Monday-Friday are selected.
Begin - Tap or click this field to enter the specified time (in 24H format) that the Access Rule will begin.
End - Tap or click this field to enter the specified time (in 24H format) that the Access Rule will end.
Authentication Policy - The Authentication Policy option allows Access rules to specify different credentials or credential combinations for the Access Rule.
Card - This option requires the Person to scan a Card Credential.

Schedule - After tapping or clicking the Add Rules button, select Recurring. The rule will only be processed for the specified timeframe on a Single Day.
Date - Tap or click this field to select the date when the rule will be processed.
Begin - Tap or click this field to enter the specified time (in 24H format) that the Access Rule will begin.
End - Tap or click this field to enter the specified time (in 24H format) that the Access Rule will end.

Deleting an Access Rule
To delete an existing Access Rule, in the Access Rule sidebar for an existing Access Rule, tap or click the Delete Rule button in the lower left corner of the sidebar menu.
