The Credential Self-Help feature allows a user who needs replacement ProdataKey App credentials to request them without requiring them to contact the person responsible for their Cloud Node at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Some examples of how Credential Self-Help can be used are:
- The user has a new phone and needs their credentials restored to the new device.
- The Invitation(s) for Bluetooth or Mobile App credentials expired before they were able to activate it.
- The user uninstalls/deletes the ProdataKey app from their mobile device.
- The User deleted the credentials in the app or the credentials are no longer listed in the app.
By default, Credential Self-Help is enabled on all Customer Accounts and Cloud Nodes added after April 30, 2023, and this feature can be enabled on Customer Accounts and Cloud Nodes installed before this time by their dealer. For information on this, please refer to our article about Credential Self-Help. In addition, if a customer doesn't want this feature enabled, such as for security purposes, this feature can be disabled.
For more information about how a user can request replacement credentials, please refer to our user-focused 'What is Credential Self-Help and how does it work?' article.
