There are times when a card, or other hard credentials, have the numbers worn off or otherwise not visible. Different permission levels have various methods for determining the credential number within PDK.io.
Admin, Manager, or Reporter
Users with these Permissions on PDK.io can access Event Reports to review previous card read events.
After scanning the card with an unknown credential on a known reader or device, go to Event Reports and create a new report.
Add Results filter for No Person Associated with Credentials (as shown above) and then save and submit the report. Go into Retrieve Report and click on the magnifying glass next to the submitted report and then click View to open the data for this report.
Once you are in the report data, look for an entry labeled 'Unknown card swipe has been detected on the device' that occurred on the reader or device where you scanned the unknown card. Once you have found this entry, click on the Details entry for this item.
In the Log Entry Details window for the event, look for the entry labeled 'Card Number'. This is the credential number for this card.
Integrator and Admin
In addition to the method outlined above, Integrators and Admins have an additional method to determine the credential number for a card where the credential number is no longer visible.
Before scanning the card in question, open Live Events icon from the main Cloud Node Dashboard. Click on Debug Mode, between Live Events and Filters. Once enabled, when a card or other credential is scanned on the system, extended information regarding the credential input is displayed.
In the block of debug information regarding the card scan, you will need to find the "cardNumber" item, and the number following it is the credential number.
