Discovery Tab

The Discovery tab is used to discover, setup, and list Legacy Wireless devices and Red-series Controllers that are within range  of the Cloud Node or connected to the same network.

Legacy Wireless devices and all devices connected to Red-series Controllers will need to be discovered, using the Discovery tool in the lower right corner of the window before they are listed.

Click the Discovery button in the lower right to reveal and display any wireless controllers or Red-series Controllers within range of the Cloud Node. Wireless and Red-series devices that have been configured for the Cloud Node are also listed with the names of the configured device(s) below the MAC address/IP address. 

The Discovery tab can also used for auditing and troubleshooting purposes. Contact our Support team for information regarding this.

NOTE: If two Cloud Nodes are in the same vicinity (even within a mile) and you are unable to detect a wireless device on the nearest Cloud Node, check the other Cloud Node in Discovery to see if it connected to the wrong Cloud Node.
