Devices Tab
The Devices tab allows a Dealer-Partner to add, view, edit, or remove Devices from the Cloud Node system. Each Device added to the Cloud Node system represents a reader, an input device or trigger, locking hardware, or other relay-controlled hardware. Once one or more Devices have been added to the Cloud Node system, either through the Discovery tab or from the Device tab, the Devices will be listed in alphabetical order.
- To manually Add a Device to the Cloud Node system, tap/click the + Icon, located in either the center of the screen or the lower right corner.
- To View/Edit an existing Device, tap/click on the device in the list.
- To Delete an existing Device, in theProdataKey App either long-tap the Device and tap the garbage can icon or refer to the steps below for Deleting the Device under the Options menu.
Devices
A Device can be defined as any reader, elevator reader or floor relay, input device/trigger, locking hardware, or other relay-controlled hardware connected to a Controller on a Cloud Node system. Devices are further divided into different Device categories, which provide predefined functionality for the device. Each Device category is further divided into different Device Types. Each Device category has its own unique color, allowing for easy identification. In addition, each Device Type has a different Icon, to further differentiate Device Types from each other. When initially entering the Configuration window on a Cloud Node system, there will be no Devices present. For instructions on how to add new Devices to the Cloud Node system, please refer to the article about this found here: Device Details.
