Map View allows a user with the appropriate Permissions to set up, edit, view and control Doors and Devices that are part of a Customer Account.
To start using Map View, a Partner with appropriate Permissions will need to add an image, such as a blueprint or rendering of the location, which will be displayed in the Map View. To do this, tap or click the Map View icon in the upper right corner of the States page.
Doing this will open the Map View page. If no Map View has been added, tap/click the Add Map View button in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the Add Map View page, which will guide you through the steps to add an image and create a Map View.
Tap or click the Click to upload button to open a dialog box and browse to and open the image you wish to use.
After selecting the image you wish to use, you will enter the Name and Short Name. The Name is what will be shown in the Map View once setup is complete. The Short Name is what will be displayed and used when linking Map Views together. The window will allow you to Select Another Image, adjust the image's Opacity and Crop the Selected Image if needed. The Partition will also need to be set, whose Managers have access to the control of doors in the Map View.
Once any necessary adjustments have been made, tap or click Done to save your changes.
After finishing and saving the first Map View, you will then edit it to add Devices and Links.
Tap or click on Edit Device to select the Door or Device to add to the Map View. Highlight the specified doors that will be included on the Map View.
After adding the Door or Device, you can move it around the Map View to where it is physically located on the image.
While in Map View, tapping or clicking the kabob button (three vertical dots) in the upper right corner of the door or device will allow you to access other options for that door or device.
To return to the list view for all the Doors and Devices, tap or click the Doors and Devices in the upper left corner of the page.
