This article explains what residents will see and how to manage their apartment locks within the PDK Access app.
My Doors
Directly under the card list in your app, you will find a list of your specific Unit Doors, followed by any common building doors (such as amenities or main entrances).
From this screen, you can:
- View low battery alerts
- Tap the clock icon to view Door History
- Tap the cogwheel icon to configure Lock Settings
Renaming Doors
Each door name can be customized to make it easier for you to identify on your device.
Renaming a door can be done in two ways:
- Swipe left on the door name and tap the pencil icon.
- Tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner of the Lock Settings page.
Once you tap the pencil icon, enter your desired name and tap Done.
Lock Settings
All other lock configurations are managed by swiping left on the door name and selecting the cogwheel icon.
Battery Health
- Battery Status: The estimated battery charge level for your lock is displayed.
NOTE: If your battery is running low, a warning will prompt you to contact your property manager for a replacement.
Auto Locking & Schedules
Management of how and when your door locks:
- Auto Locking: This is enabled by default and set to 30 seconds, so your door automatically locks behind you, but it can be turned off or the delay time changed.
- Schedule: A schedule can be set, so the lock automatically locks at a specific time of day.
NOTE: Changing Auto Locking or Schedule will apply to all residents who have access to that door. However, renaming the door and configuring push notifications will only affect your individual mobile device.
Push Notifications
Stay updated on your lock's status by enabling push notifications. You can set alerts for:
- Battery Health Updates: Get notified when your batteries need replacement.
- Door Events: Know exactly when your door is locked or unlocked.
Activity History
View your door's full history by tapping the clock icon in the top-right corner of both the Door List and Lock Settings pages.
The Door History can be filtered by using the dropdown menus at the top of the screen, by the following filters:
- Doors
- Battery Health Events
- Door Events
- Users
- Date
