The PDK Access app is the heart of ProdataKey’s mobile-first access control system. It acts as both a Credential carrier (via Bluetooth and Mobile Button) and a management tool for Installation Partners, Admins, and Managers.
Getting Started
Download the App
- Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- If you have the Legacy ProdataKey app, update to the latest version to access the newest features.
When you launch the PDK Access app for the first time, you will be prompted to select one of the following options: Unlocking doors or gates, or Managing or Installing PDK systems. This ensures you are directed to the correct setup.

Unlocking doors or gates - Select this if you are an end-user (employee, resident, or guest) who needs to use your mobile device as a digital credential.
Follow the instructions on Activating Credentials.

Managing or Installing PDK systems - Select this if you are a system Admin or an Installer. This option will prompt you to log in to your PDK.io account to configure or manage your PDK system.
Follow the instructions on Manage Access.
Activate Credentials
Open the Activation Email
On your phone, click the link in the activation email and follow the provided instructions.Enter Your Email in the App
This will generate a one-time code that allows you to manually transfer your previously issued credentials.
NOTES:
The activation code in your email expires after 72 hours. If it has expired, please contact your site management.
The one-time code will expire after 5 minutes. If your email is not registered in the system, no code will be sent.
Mobile Access Features
Card List
- Each system you have access to will appear as a separate card
- Tap the Bell icon in the top-right corner to view notifications

To delete Credentials, swipe left on the system card and tap the trash can icon.
NOTE: If Credentials are deleted by mistake, recover them by selecting Add Credentials and requesting a one-time code

Access depends on the type of Credential you've been granted:

Bluetooth Only:
You'll see a message stating Bluetooth access is enabled. Hold your phone near the reader to unlock or activate it. Bluetooth permissions must be enabled in your phone’s settings for this feature to work. -
Mobile Button Only:
You’ll see a list of doors that you can access directly from the app, allowing you to do so remotely. Tap a door name to unlock or activate. -
Both Bluetooth and Mobile Button:
The complete door list will be shown. Tap a door name or hold the phone near the reader to unlock or activate it. Bluetooth permissions must be enabled in your phone’s settings for this feature to work.
Tip: Use the magnifying glass icon to search for a specific door or device.
NOTE: The App must be running in the background for the reader to recognize your Bluetooth.
Favorites
- Add frequently used doors to your Favorites for quick access

To add a Favorite:
- Swipe left on the door name
- Tap the heart icon
- The device will now appear in the Favorites section at the top when opening the app

Personalize door names for easier identification on your device

To rename a door:
- Swipe left on the door name
- Tap the pencil icon
- Enter the desired name and tap Done

NOTE: These changes are local to your phone only; they will not be visible to other users and will not change the original names set by the Installer
Menu
- Customize Card Style to identify different systems easily
- Bluetooth Range: Adjust from Low to High to control the distance your phone communicates with Bluetooth readers
- Add Credentials: Manually enter a one-time code sent to your email to Transfer Active Credentials or Accept Pending Credentials

Support Requests: Submit requests directly to your Security Team or Property Manager. More information can be found here.
NOTE: PDK Tech Support cannot issue new credentials.

For Installers or Admins, tap Admin Sign In to log in to PDK.io within the app.

Customer List
The dropdown lets you switch between pages for Customers, Permissions, Integrations, Settings, and Billing, and the search box below lets you find specific Customers.

Search – Find Cloud Node serial numbers or Customer names quickly

Personal Information – Update your profile details
Account Security – Change your password or reset two-factor authentication
Agreements – View and manage signed agreements
Docs – Access the Knowledge Base Support Page directly

Access – Switch to the Mobile Access page to locate Doors and Devices
Feedback – Submit Feedback to the PDK Mobile team
