Red Wireless Interconnected Lock Installation Instructions

1. Prepare Door & Install Latches

1. Prepare door according to template.
2. Install deadbolt latch in top hole with cross slot for tailpiece toward the bottom.
3. Install beveled latch on bottom with bevel toward door frame.
4. Secure with (4) combo screws.

2. Install Lock Assembly

1. Install lock chassis into bottom hole making sure to properly engage lock body into latchbolt. 
2. Install inside mounting plate and secure with (2) screws. 

3. Install Reader Assembly 

Install reader assembly from outside of door - feeding reader wire through chassis hole in the door and square hole in mounting plate - wire routes above the deadbolt latch. 

Ensure deadbolt is retracted:

Left Hand Door - Rotate tailpiece clockwise until it stops in the vertical orientation. 

Right Hand Door - Rotate tailpiece counter-clockwise until it stops in the vertical orientation.

4. Prepare Inside Escutcheon

1. Rotate lever driver tab to correct orientation as shown. 
2. Hold escutcheon up to door and connect reader wire to control board. 

5. Install Inside Escutcheon and Lever

1. Rotate thumb turn away from leading edge of door. 
2. Install inside escutcheon. Push excess wire into door cavity. 
3. Secure escutcheon using two screws.
4. Install batteries and battery cover.

6. Calibrate Lock

Before the lock can be used, it must be calibrated. After you put the batteries in the lock, the LED lights will flash red twice every 3 seconds. This indicates that the lock is not yet calibrated. Follow either of these methods to calibrate your lock. 

Method One:

1. Fully retract the bolt. 
2. Double tap any physical PDK Red Credential. 

The LED will flash yellow. 

3. Fully extend the bolt. 
4. Fully retract the bolt. 

Method Two: 

1. Fully retract the bolt. 
2. Input the PIN 387492# 

The LED will flash yellow. 

3. Fully extend the bolt. 
4. Fully retract the bolt. 

After successful calibration, the lock will flash a green light and beep twice.
