What to do if Digital Watchdog will not accept Soft-Triggers or receive Events from the Cloud Node – ProdataKey, Inc.

If Digital Watchdog will not accept soft triggers or is not receiving events from the Cloud Node, you will want to uninstall and re-install the NVR tool. After doing so, ensure that you can ping the Cloud Node.

Ping the Cloud Node by opening a Command Prompt* on your laptop or desktop computer.

Type: ping {cloudnodenumber}.local

For example: ping 1073SUU.local and check for a return response. If there is no response, there is an issue with it communicating with the Cloud Node. The Cloud Node is either offline or is not working.

To start a Command Prompt you simply need to type cmd.exe in the search field in the Start menu or click on Start, then Accessories, and then click on the Command Prompt icon
