Tapping or clicking the Elevators icon from the Customer Dashboard opens the Elevator Floor Groups window. Elevator Floor Groups are a grouping of Elevator Floor Relays which are controlled by at least one Elevator Reader. Elevator Floor Groups allow a Person to access designated floors or during a set schedule based on individual or Group Rules.

Before Elevator Floor Groups can be configured, the following devices must be configured in Configuration for the Customer Account:

At least one Elevator Reader device.
At least one Elevator Floor Relay device.

Any previously created Elevator Floor Groups are listed in alphanumeric order.

Once an Elevator Floor Group has been created, a rule for the Elevator Floor Group will need to be created, either a Person or Group rule, in the Customer Account.

Adding an Elevator Floor Group

To add an Elevator Floor Group to the Customer Account, first tap or click on the Add Floor Group button in the Elevator Floor Groups window. This is located next to the Search Floor Groups field and above any existing Floor Groups on the Customer Account. This will pop out a sidebar where you can enter the information for the new Floor Group.

Name - Assign a unique, descriptive name for the Elevator Floor Group.

Reader - Tap or click the Reader field to select from the configured Elevator Reader devices.

Partition - If any Partitions have been created, the Partition field will be shown. Tap or click the Partition field to select a partition from the list. A 'Default' Partition exists, but the Partition field will not be displayed until an additional Partition is created.

Editing an Elevator Floor Group

After an Elevator Floor Group has been created, tapping or clicking on the name of the Elevator Floor Group will display a sidebar menu where the Name, Reader, and Partition can be edited. In addition, Elevator Floor Relays, displayed as Floors, must be added to an Elevator Floor Group for the Elevator Floor Group to function.

Name - Assign a unique, descriptive name for the Elevator Floor Group.

Reader - Tap or click the Reader field to select from the configured Elevator Reader devices.

Floors - One or more Elevator Floor Relay devices will need to be selected for the floors that this Elevator Group has access to.

After adding the Elevator Floor Relays to the Elevator Floor Group, tap/click the left-pointing arrow in the upper left corner of the page to return to the Elevator Floor Groups page.
