Single io Introduction
Easily add single doors to a Cloud Node
The single io controller is used for adding doors to a Cloud Node one door at a time or expanding an existing pdk system. With the option of network, PoE, or wireless connectivity, the single io is the most flexible controller on the market. Each unit is equipped with a fully supervised power circuit that monitors input, output, battery voltage, and overall controller health. Users receive important system notifications via text and email.
Single io Features
Scalability
Whether you need three doors or a thousand, the single io controller allows you to scale the system to just the right size. Also, with the flexibility of our WiMAC wireless, you can add more doors anytime, or anywhere.
Fully Supervised
Never be caught off guard again. Pdk.io intelligently monitors the network and wireless connectivity of each controller in your system and alerts you if any issues arise.
Plug n’ Play Connectivity
All io devices were designed to be plug n’ play. That means they’re super-easy to install right out of the box. It’s easy to add any io device no matter how large the job is, and you can quickly scale a system to any size. A Cloud Node can connect to as many as a thousand doors on a single platform.
Unparalleled Wireless Range
With WiMAC (Wireless Mesh Access Control), experience up to one-mile line of sight and 450 ft. (on average) indoor range. Every WiMAC device installed extends and strengthens the self-healing wireless mesh network. WiMAC is unmatched in security with a proprietary signal and AES encryption.
Two Reader Inputs
Two reader inputs are ideal for applications where both read-in and read-out is a security requirement. Know exactly when users enter and exit a premise. The second reader input can also be assigned to trigger automated events.
Network, PoE, Wireless
Choose from three flexible connectivity options that fit any application. The Single io is built for ultra-low bandwidth consumption and easily connects to existing or dedicated networks. Easily expand a system's wireless coverage (via network) using the Ethernet gateway.
NOTE: By default, wireless devices use what is known as DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), which automatically assigns a dynamic (temporary) IP address for a network. For eight io Ethernet connections, a static (permanent) IP address is REQUIRED; a static IP address is not required for Cloud Nodes.
To set up a static IP address for an Ethernet device, the third-party Lantronix DeviceInstaller application can be used. The suggested static IP address can be obtained from your IT manager or network administrator. The default dynamic IP address that is already assigned to the device by the router may also be used and converted to a static IP address.
Download the Lantronix DeviceInstaller (stand-alone version) at the Lantronix website for the necessary zip file (and DeviceInstaller Help, if necessary) to install and use this application.
