High-Voltage Converter Overview
Table of Contents
Safety, Maintenance, & Operational Information
Additional Listed System Components
Power up the Cloud Node or Single io in areas where high-voltage power is available. The High-Voltage Converter is used to interface with the nearest high-voltage source, converting it to low-voltage electricity. This eliminates the need to run a power wire to any controllers. The High-Voltage Converter accepts 90 to 264 volts AC and converts it to 12 Volts DC at 2 Amps. It’s perfect for interfacing with the nearest high-voltage source and eliminating the need to run a power wire to your controllers.

Mounting Instructions
Before you begin the installation, read the instructions thoroughly. Make sure you have read and understand the Safety Information.
WARNING: Disconnect power before working with the ProdataKey product. DO NOT mount the product while power is applied. Always apply power at the end of the installation after verifying wiring connections are correct; incorrect wiring could cause damage to the product.
These instructions allow you to easily fasten the box properly and securely to a wall surface. Prior to beginning, ensure you have the package contents, tools, and necessary materials for the installation on an appropriate surface (drywall, wood, etc.). Please follow these mounting suggestions:
-
Use the High-Voltage Converter box to mark the hole positions on the wall and drill holes into the surface. If mounting onto drywall, insert the anchors into the holes to secure the screws to the surface.
-
Align the can’s holes to the holes in the wall surface and mount the controller box with the screws so the box is securely fastened to the wall.
-
Use knock-outs on the sides of the enclosure to thread cable and connect wiring. Connect the High-Voltage Converter and Cloud Node or Single io Controller with the included coupler.
-
Use the included conduit for wire connection between the High-Voltage Converter box and a ProdataKey Cloud Node or Single io Controller.
NOTE: The High-Voltage Converter wiring methods shall be in accordance with the (US) National Electrical Code/NFPA 70/NFPA 72/ANSI or (Canadian) National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 680, and Canadian Electric Code along with all local codes and authorities having jurisdiction. This product is intended for indoor use only.

AC Power Connection
(A) AC Input - Use the black, white, and green power source wires to supply 90 to 264 volts AC power and grounding to the converter. The provided black (-) and white (+) lead wires (using wire nuts) connect to power, the ground (green wire) is attached to the green grounding screw on the converter enclosure, as illustrated.
(B) Plug - Connected black and white power wires. Once the pigtail connections are made, plug the connector wires into the converter as shown.
NOTE: Pigtail wiring is shown in the illustration using wire nuts and provided lead wires to connect power and ground to the converter.
DC Power Connection
(A) DC Output - Use the supplied red (+) and black (-) power lead wires (going out) to provide 12VDC with 1.5A power to the Cloud Node or Single io Controller.
(B) Controller Connection - The red (+) and black (-) wires from the converter extend to the (+) and (-) connections on the Cloud Node or Single io Controller. Be certain to make this connection prior to providing power to the High-Voltage Converter. Also, be mindful of controllers that are polarity sensitive.
