When using System Event rules, an Action event must be selected. When a Trigger event occurs on any of the selected Source Devices, the Action event configured will occur.
Below is a list of the available Action Events along with a description of what each Action means.
- Send Email - This action sends an email to the specified email address(es) using the preconfigured email template. For more information on using the Send Email feature, refer to our article "How to use the Email Template with Event and System Event rules".
- Send Push Notification - This action will send a Push Notification to a user with a configured Permission used to log in to Manage Access in the PDK Access App. Push Notifications will be displayed in the same manner as other app notifications on the mobile device. For more information about Push Notifications, please refer to the article "What are 'Push Notifications' and how best to use them".
- Do Not Disturb - This action toggles the Target door/device into the Do Not Disturb state (if not in this state) or out of the Do Not Disturb state (if in this state). While in the Do Not Disturb state, the door/device will be locked, and access attempts will be rejected until the Do Not Disturb state is toggled/canceled.
- Force Toggle - This action toggles the current state of the relay for the Target door/device and maintains this new state until another Force Toggle command is sent. For example, if the Target door/device is unlocked, a Force Toggle command will lock the door/device, and then further normal access attempts will be rejected until another Force Toggle command is sent.
- Force Open - This action sets the relay for the Target door/device to an unlocked state and leaves it there until a Force Toggle command is sent.
- Force Close - This action sets the relay for the Target door/device to a locked state, which remains until a Force Toggle command is sent.
- Lockdown On - This action toggles the Target door/device into a Do Not Disturb state. While in the Do Not Disturb state, the door/device will be locked, and access attempts will be rejected until the Do Not Disturb state is toggled/canceled.
- Lockdown Off - This action will clear the Do Not Disturb state on the door/device and return it to its default state.
- Open - This action will unlock the Target door/device until another command locks it, such as Close, Delay Close, or Open/Close.
- Close - This action will lock the Target door/device until another command is issued to lock it, such as Open, Delay Close, or Open/Close.
- Open/Close - This action causes the Target Device/Door to unlock, then to lock after the listed Dwell and Delay times.
- Sound Piezo - This action will activate the Piezo speaker in a Red-reader that uses ODSP wiring
- Silence Piezo - This action will deactivate the Piezo speaker in a Red-reader that uses ODSP wiring
