Digital Watchdog Windows Installation Instructions

NodeJS Installation:

After downloading the NodeJS installation file listed above, run the installation file. Once the installation completes, reboot the PDK/DW server. After the reboot completes, verify that NodeJS was installed and is working properly by opening a Command Prompt and typing 'node', and then press the enter key. If NodeJS is working properly, a '>_' will be displayed at the bottom of the command prompt. Then press and hold CTRL+d to exit NodeJS and close the Command Prompt.

ProdataKey’s DW NVR Integration Tool Installation

After downloading the installation file listed above, open a Command Prompt with Administrator privileges, then locate and run the downloaded file from the Command Prompt. If a 'Windows protected your PC' warning window is displayed, click the 'More info' link in the message and then click the 'Run anyway' button. 

Follow the onscreen prompts to select or change the installation folder. 

After selecting the installation folder, the Settings Window will be displayed, where the information about the ProdataKey Client Settings and DW Spectrum Settings.

PDK Client Settings

• Command Listen Port - 9191 is the default port and the required port in most cases. 
• Panel ID - This is the Cloud Node’s serial number, labeled on the inside door of the device or it can also be found on the pdk.io website. This serial number is something similar to 1070XXX (where XXX is a unique three-character alphanumeric designation).

Spectrum Settings

• Enter your personal DW Spectrum credentials for access. 
• Username: Your personal credentialed username or email address
• Password: Your credentialed password
• URI: Similar to a URL, it identifies a particular resource. In this case, it identifies the location or “web address” of the DW Spectrum software. 

Follow the on-screen prompts and continue until pressing the 'Install' button.  After clicking the 'Install' button, the Status bar will indicate its progress, and during the installation, a PDK.io login window will be displayed. 

Enter the PDK.io login and password that were created earlier in the 'Email' and 'Password' fields, place a checkmark in the 'Stay Signed In' box, and click 'Sign In'. Once the Installation process completes, click the 'Finish' button. 

DW Spectrum should connect and integrate with the ProdataKey application, providing video access to the installed security cameras.
