8-Port Auxiliary Controller - PN: A8

PDK’s Aux 8 is an easy-to-install input/output board built to handle any auxiliary devices for your system. Built with PDK Red technology, the Aux 8 has built-in Ethernet connectivity and self-discovery to simplify ip configuration and functionality. In addition, wireless and PoE++ communication is available with the PDK wireless or PoE++ module kits. The Aux 8 helps you provide full control or monitoring of up to eight different auxiliary devices.

Aux 8 Features

Input Monitoring - Monitor and report on any device tied into the Aux 8 controller. Whether door position sensors, push buttons or motion devices, the Aux 8 has you covered.

Power Monitoring - Equipped with an onboard power supply and a fully-supervised power circuit that monitors input, output, battery voltage, and overall controller health.

Plug ‘n’ Play Connectivity -All PDK Red devices were designed to be plug ‘n’ play. That means they’re easy to install right out of the box. It’s simple to add in any PDK Red device no matter how large the job is, and you can quickly scale a system to any size. A Cloud Node can connect up to a thousand devices on a single platform.

Output Triggering - The onboard relays allow for system event triggers such as elevator floor access, arming and disarming alarm panels, and control of HVAC systems.

Self-Discoverable - The Red Aux 8 is automatically discoverable as a connected device by the Cloud Node. When an Ethernet device is connected to the Cloud Node, it pings the node to let the node know that it is there; it is not necessary to enter the IP address because the device is self-discovered.

Module Kits - Additional WiMAC and PoE++ plug-and-play connection kits can be added by purchasing the respective wireless or PoE kit. Plug the module into the Aux 8 board, and it's ready to go.

12V-24V DC Input
12 VDC 2A 28 watt class 2 wall-wart power supply (Input supply to the board)
Powers readers and other door hardware directly from the bus
Power delivery to the peripheral is shared among all ports. Total output to peripherals is 4 AMPs at 12V when powered with the included 5 AMP wall adapter.

*Battery not included but a backup battery must be installed to comply with UL 294.

NOTE: for proper operation, use the provided power supply. When not using the provided power supply, PDK recommends using a regulated power supply that outputs no greater than 24 volts as measured with a multimeter.
