Four Door Controller - PN: R4
PDK’s Red 4 controller comes standard with Ethernet connectivity and self-discovery, simplifying IP configuration and connectivity. Red 4 also incorporates the highest level of security with communication encryption and OSDP reader functionality, monitors input, output, and battery voltage, along with overall controller health.
Optional Module Add-On Kits
- WiMACTM wireless Module PN: RMW
- PoE Module PN: RMPOE
Red 4 Features
Self-Discoverable - Red 4 is automatically discovered as a connected device by the Cloud Node. When an Ethernet device is connected to the Cloud Node, it pings the node to let the node know that it is there; it is not necessary to enter the IP address because the device is self-discovered.
Scalability - Whether you need four doors or a thousand, the Red 4 controller allows you to scale the system to just the right size. In addition, with the flexibility of our WiMAC (Wireless Mesh Access Control), you can add more doors anytime or anywhere.
Plug ‘n’ Play Connectivity - All io devices were designed to be plug ‘n’ play. That means they’re easy to install right out of the box. It’s simple to add in any io device no matter how large the job is, and you can quickly scale a system to any size. A Cloud Node can connect up to a thousand doors on a single platform.
Four Reader Input Ports - Four input ports are ideal for applications where both read-in and read-out are a security requirement. Know exactly when users enter and exit a premise. The second reader input can also be assigned to trigger automated events.
Battery Charger and Statistics - In addition to charging the battery when a backup battery is attached, battery stats are also provided.
Fully Supervised - Never be caught off guard again. PDK.io intelligently monitors the network and wireless connectivity of each controller in your system and alerts you if any issues arise, including the following: overcurrent events, primary power connectivity, battery connectivity, battery charge status.
Supports OSDP Protocol - Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) is an access control communications standard developed by the Security Industry Association to improve interoperability among access control and security products. OSDP brings heightened security and improved functionality. It is more secure than Wiegand and supports AES-128 encryption. OSDP handles two-way communication between a reader and a controller. A controller or an interface unit can connect with a reader and identify a device if it is malfunctioning, manage LED indication, or verify an entered PIN.
