A Mantrap entrance, also known as an airlock-style entrance or security vestibule, is a series of interconnected doors that allow for additional security and control of the flow of people. A mantrap is normally in place to ensure that only the person who requested access is allowed access to and from the secured area.
Before beginning the configuration of a Mantrap at a location, you will need to ensure the following items have been installed or configured:
- A reader installed on each side of the Inner door
- A reader installed on each side of the outer door
- A Door Position Sensor (DPS) is mounted at each door
- Each Primary Reader/Door must have the DPS option enabled in Configuration
