Elevators can be equipped with Readers in the same way that a normal door is. Once Elevator Floor Groups have been created, they can be added to Elevator rules, which grant or limit access to specific floors at designated times. For information regarding this, please refer to the Elevator Rules article.
Before Elevator Floor Groups can be configured, at least one of each of the following devices must be configured on the Customer Account:
- An Elevator Reader.
- At least one Elevator Floor Relay.
Click the Elevator icon from the Customer Dashboard to create an Elevator Floor Group. Any previously created Elevator Floor Groups are listed in alphanumeric order.
To add an elevator rule, click the yellow plus (+) icon in the lower right. The Elevator screen will then be displayed.
Name - Assign a unique, descriptive name for the Elevator rule.
Reader - Tap/click the Reader field or the down arrow to select from the configured Elevator Reader devices. For a long list of reader devices, use the Filter field to search for a device name.
Tap/click the Elevator Reader, then tap/click Add.
Partition - If Partitions beyond the default partition have been created, the Partition field will be shown. Click inside the Partition field or on the down arrow to select a partition from the list. A Default partition exists but the Partition field does not appear until after an initial partition is created.
Floors - One or more Elevator Floor Relay devices will need to be selected for the floors that this Elevator Group has access to.
After adding the Elevator Floor Relays to the Elevator Floor Group, tap/click the left-pointing arrow in the upper left corner of the page to return to the Elevator Floor Groups page.
Once an Elevator Floor Group has been created, it needs to be scheduled in the system under a Person or Group.
