Configuration - Devices

The Devices Tab of the Configuration Page allows an Integrator-Partner to view and edit certain settings for the Cloud Node.

A Device in PDK.io is defined as any Reader (primary, additional, or elevator), Elevator Floor Relay, Generic and Premium IO devices (such as input trigger devices), or locking hardware and other relay-controlled hardware installed on a different Port than a  Reader or IO Device which are connected to a Controller on a Customer Account.

Devices are further divided into different Device categories, which provide predefined functionality for the device. Each Device category has its own unique color, allowing for easy identification.

Each Device category contains different Device Types, with specific functions. Each Device Type has a different Icon, to further differentiate Device Types from each other. For more information regarding Device Types, please refer to our article about Device Types.
