Configuration - Cards

The Cards Tab of the Configuration Page allows an Integrator-Partner to view and edit the Credential formats and Ecards in use on the Cloud Node.

Card Formats

Select the Credential format for use with the selected Cloud Node.

Ecards

Ecards (Emergency Cards) are a feature for access control systems that ensure access to devices under certain conditions. Ecards can be used to gain access at that door. Ecards can be any supported Flexible Card Format (traditional Wiegand or newer high-security credentials) added to the Cloud Node. Ecard credentials are stored directly on the Controller, with up to ten (10) Ecards entered for each Cloud Node. 

With Legacy Controllers, Ecards activate when there is a loss of communication between the Controller and Cloud Node which lasts for longer than four minutes.

With Red-series Controllers, Ecards are activated when the time specified for Continuity fall-back is exceeded.

To use Ecard credentials, first, enter one card number per line (up to ten card numbers). Then tap or click the Write button.

Note: If a new Controller is added to the system, an Integrator-Partner will need to write the Ecards to the Cloud Node and attached Controllers again.
