There are times where a card, or other hard credential, has the numbers worn off or otherwise not visible. Different permission levels have different ways to determine the credential number inside PDK.io.
Admin, Manager, or Reporter
Users of PDK.io with these permissions are able to go into Reports, and then Events to review the previous card read events.
After scanning the card with an unknown credential on a known reader/device, go into Reports, and then Events and create a new report.
In Events, select the 'Results' filter for 'No Person Associated with Credentials' (as shown above) and then save and submit the report. Go into 'Retrieve Report' and click on the magnifying glass next to the submitted report and then 'View' to open the data for this report.
Once you are in the report data, look for a "Unknown card swipe has been detected on the device" entry that occurred on the reader/device where you scanned the unknown card at. Once you have found this entry, click on the 'Details' entry for this item.
In the Log Entry Details window for the event, look for the entry named 'Card Number'. This is the credential number for this card.
Integrator
In addition to the method outlined above, dealers (and any users with Integrator permissions) have an additional method to determine the credential number for a card where the credential number is no longer visible.
Before scanning the card in question, open the "Live Events" icon from the main Cloud Node Dashboard. In the upper right corner of the window is a toggle control labelled "Debug Mode". By default, this control is "Disabled" but by clicking on the toggle, you will enable Debug mode. Once enabled, when a card, or other credential, is scanned on the system, extended information regarding the credential input is displayed.
In the block of debug information regarding the card scan, you will need to find the "cardNumber" item and the number after that is the credential number.
